Research

Research at our divison covers a wide range of topics, from the evolution of flowers and flowering plant systematics, over plant-animal interactions to forensic palynology. Our studies are mainly based on structural and functional analyses using a wide range of methods and techniques including scanning electron-, transmission electron- and light microscopy. We strive to integrate various aspects of the biology, ecology and, in particular, also of the phylogeny of our study objects into our research.
