The focus of my research lies on the evolution, climatic preferences, and palaeobiogeography of northern hemispheric plant families (e.g. Fagaceae, Cupressaceae, ….) during the Paleogene and Neogene. In the past few years, I investigated mainly Miocene floras from the Mediterranean region. I am using Köppen signatures, NLR, and CLAMP to reconstruct the climatic signal of fossil floras.
